Why does TikTok add a watermark?
The bouncing logo and username credit the creator and advertise TikTok whenever a video is shared elsewhere. It’s burned into the exported file, which is why cropping or blurring it always damages the video.
Method 1: Use an online downloader (recommended)
Online downloaders request the file TikTok stores before the watermark is applied. You get the full frame at original quality and nothing is edited.

What should I avoid?

Can I remove the watermark from a video I already saved?
Not cleanly. Once it’s burned in, it can only be blurred or cropped. Download the video again from its link instead.
Does the creator get notified?
No. TikTok doesn’t notify creators when a video is downloaded through a link.
Why does the Save video button sometimes disappear?
Creators can turn off downloads for their posts. Public videos can still be saved with a link-based downloader.
Do downloaders work on TikTok Lite links?
Yes. TikTok Lite shares the same links, so paste them as usual.
